Alert Finance When Runway Drops Below Threshold
Checks current months-of-runway against a configured floor and pings a Slack channel with the breach severity and the gap to the threshold the moment it crosses.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerDaily schedule
- ActionRead cash balance and net burn from SnowflakeSnowflake
- LogicCompute runway and compare to configured floor
- LogicClassify severity (healthy / warning / critical)
- OutputPost breach alert with gap and zero-cash date to SlackSlack
What it does
Watches your runway figure and raises an alarm before it becomes a board-meeting surprise. It evaluates current cash divided by net burn against a configured floor (for example, 6 months) and only notifies when the number crosses below it, so the channel never gets noise on healthy months.
When to use it
Use this when leadership wants an early warning rather than a monthly report. Pair it with the recompute workflow so an alert fires the same day actuals land and runway dips.
How it works
- 1A scheduled check runs daily.
- 2Read the latest cash balance and trailing net burn from Snowflake.
- 3Compute months of runway and compare against the configured floor.
- 4A branch decides severity: warning under the floor, critical under half the floor; healthy months exit silently.
- 5Post a Slack alert with the current runway, the gap to threshold, and the implied zero-cash date.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect SnowflakeWarehouses, queries, shares.
- 2Connect SlackChannels, DMs, threads, mentions.
- 3Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 4Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 5Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
