Weekly fleet patch-compliance digest
Every Monday, rolls up the whole laptop fleet's patch status into a single compliance digest, snapshots it to a Postgres history table.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerWeekly Monday schedule fires
- ActionAggregate fleet compliance countsPostgres
- ActionCompute percent + format digest
- ActionSnapshot totals to history tablePostgres
- OutputPost digest to leadership SlackSlack
What it does
Aggregates patch status across the entire laptop fleet into one weekly digest. It computes the percent of devices compliant, counts overdue by severity, lists the longest-overdue devices, and posts a readable summary to a Slack channel for IT leadership. It also writes the week's numbers to a history table so you can chart compliance trend over time.
When to use it
Use this for the recurring leadership or security stand-up where someone asks "how patched are we?" It replaces a manual spreadsheet pull with an automatic, trended snapshot.
How it works
- 1A weekly schedule fires every Monday morning.
- 2A Postgres query aggregates device counts by compliance state and pulls the top overdue offenders.
- 3An action computes the compliance percentage and formats the digest text.
- 4An action snapshots the weekly totals into a Postgres history table for trending.
- 5The output step posts the formatted digest to the Slack leadership channel.
