Renewal Risk Alert from Usage Drop, with AE Save-Play in ClickUp
Detects accounts whose weekly product usage has dropped sharply ahead of renewal, drafts a tailored save-play, and assigns the owning AE a ClickUp task with the talking points.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerWeekly schedule fires the usage scan
- ActionQuery 8-week usage and renewal dates from warehousePostgres
- LogicFlag accounts with >30% usage drop and renewal within 90 days
- ActionDraft a tailored save-play per flagged accountOpenAI
- ActionCreate AE ClickUp task with save-play and due dateClickUp
- OutputPost flagged accounts and task links to renewals SlackSlack
What it does
Every week it scans usage telemetry stored in your warehouse, finds accounts with a renewal in the next 90 days whose active-user count or core-event volume has fallen below their trailing baseline, drafts a specific save-play, and hands the owning account executive a ready-to-run ClickUp task.
When to use it
Run this when renewals are slipping because nobody notices declining usage until the account is already cold. It gives AEs a 60-90 day head start instead of a surprise non-renewal.
How it works
- 1A weekly schedule kicks off the run.
- 2Postgres query pulls per-account usage for the trailing 8 weeks plus renewal date from your warehouse.
- 3A logic step flags accounts where last-week usage dropped more than 30% below the 8-week average AND renewal is within 90 days.
- 4For each flagged account, an AI step drafts a save-play: likely cause, the value moment they stopped hitting, and three concrete outreach angles.
- 5A ClickUp task is created in the AE's renewals list, due in three days, with the save-play in the description and the account owner assigned.
- 6The flagged list and task links are posted to the renewals Slack channel.
