Auto-generate a Loom video reply for complex Intercom how-to questions
When an Intercom conversation is tagged as a complex how-to question, this generates a personalized walkthrough script, records it as a Loom screen-recording.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerIntercom conversation tagged needs-videoIntercom
- ActionFetch transcript + customer contextIntercom
- ActionDraft walkthrough narration scriptOpenAI
- ActionGenerate Loom walkthrough videoLoom
- OutputReply in Intercom with Loom linkIntercom
What it does
Turns long, hard-to-explain Intercom how-to tickets into a Loom video reply automatically. When an agent tags a conversation `needs-video`, the workflow reads the customer's question and account context, drafts a step-by-step narration script, generates a Loom walkthrough, and replies inside the same Intercom thread with the embedded video link.
When to use it
Use it for support teams that field repetitive but visually complex how-to questions (multi-step setup, configuration flows, dashboard navigation) where a written reply is slower and less clear than a short screen recording.
How it works
- 1An Intercom conversation receives the `needs-video` tag, firing the trigger.
- 2The flow pulls the full conversation transcript plus the customer's plan and locale from Intercom.
- 3An LLM step distills the question into a numbered walkthrough script tuned to that customer's setup.
- 4A Loom action records the walkthrough and returns a shareable video URL.
- 5The final step posts a reply note into the original Intercom conversation with the Loom link and a one-line summary.
