Warranty expiry router: renew, dispose, or self-insure
Each morning, scans an Airtable asset register for warranties expiring within 60 days and emails the assigned owner a decision card asking them to renew, dispose, or let it lapse.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerDaily 7am schedule
- ActionQuery Airtable for warranties expiring in 60 daysAirtable
- LogicBucket assets by residual book value
- ActionEmail owner a renew/dispose/lapse decision cardOutlook
- OutputWrite decision and timestamp back to AirtableAirtable
What it does
Keeps a physical-asset warranty register honest by catching every coverage that is about to lapse and forcing an explicit owner decision instead of silent expiry. It reads the register, finds at-risk assets, and emails each owner a structured choice with the residual value and renewal quote pre-filled.
When to use it
Use it when you track equipment, machinery, or fleet warranties in Airtable and warranties keep expiring unnoticed because nobody owns the renew-or-retire call. Good for ops, facilities, and IT asset managers.
How it works
- 1A daily schedule fires the workflow at 7am.
- 2Query Airtable for assets whose warranty_end falls inside the next 60 days and whose status is still Active.
- 3A logic step buckets each asset by remaining book value: high-value rows route to renewal, low-value rows route to disposal review.
- 4For each asset, send the assigned owner an Outlook email with a decision card (Renew / Dispose / Let lapse) and the renewal quote.
- 5Write the dispatch timestamp and chosen decision back to the Airtable record so nothing is asked twice.
