What it does

Gives every rep a self-serve way to answer security and compliance questions without pinging the security team. Ask a question in a Slack channel and the bot retrieves the relevant sections from your Confluence security space, composes a concise answer, and posts it back in-thread with links to the exact pages it used.

When to use it

Use this for ad-hoc, one-off questions during deals — 'Do we encrypt data at rest?', 'What is our RTO?' — where opening a full questionnaire workflow is overkill. Ideal when your authoritative answers already live in Confluence.

How it works

  1. 1A rep mentions the bot or posts in a designated Slack channel, triggering the run.
  2. 2The question text is extracted and embedded.
  3. 3The relevant Confluence security/compliance pages are retrieved by semantic match.
  4. 4A guardrail check decides whether retrieved context is strong enough; weak matches return 'I don't have a sourced answer — routing to security'.
  5. 5An LLM writes a tight, sourced answer from the retrieved context only.
  6. 6The answer posts back in the Slack thread with citation links to each Confluence page.
