Accrual Cutoff Countdown: Daily Reminder of Unbooked Owners
Counts down to the accrual cutoff and each day posts a Slack reminder listing owners who still have unbooked accruals in the Coda tracker.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerDaily close-window schedule fires
- LogicCompute business days to cutoff
- ActionRead unbooked items from Coda trackerCoda
- LogicSelect tone, exit if nothing outstanding
- OutputPost countdown reminder to Slack channelSlack
What it does
This workflow keeps the whole team aware of the accrual deadline. Each day during close it checks the Coda accrual tracker for items still unbooked, identifies the owners responsible, and posts a single Slack reminder to the finance channel. As the cutoff approaches the message escalates from a gentle heads-up to an urgent last-call, naming who is still outstanding.
When to use it
Use it when you want shared visibility and light social pressure rather than private nudges. Good for teams that close on a fixed calendar date and want one daily channel post that makes the remaining work and the time left obvious.
How it works
- 1A daily schedule fires during the close window.
- 2A logic step computes business days remaining until the configured accrual cutoff.
- 3The workflow reads the Coda tracker for items still unbooked and collects the distinct owners.
- 4A logic step picks the message tone based on days remaining and ends quietly if nothing is outstanding.
- 5A Slack post to the finance channel lists outstanding owners, total open amount, and the deadline.
Set it up
