How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerSchedule: daily at 6:30am finance TZ
  • ActionFetch prior-day settled payoutsStripeStripe
  • ActionQuery cash + clearing GL balancesSnowflakeSnowflake
  • LogicCompute closing position; flag low/negative balance
  • OutputPost cash-position summary to finance channelSlack

What it does

Produces one authoritative daily cash snapshot. It pulls the prior day's settled Stripe payouts, reads the corresponding cash and clearing balances from your Snowflake general ledger, computes the consolidated end-of-day cash position (opening balance + payouts in - outflows = closing), and delivers a clean summary card to Slack before the finance team logs on.

When to use it

Run it when treasury or accounting needs a reliable single number for available cash each morning without anyone manually exporting Stripe reports and cross-checking them against the warehouse. Ideal for teams that close cash daily rather than monthly.

How it works

  1. 1A schedule fires at 6:30am in the finance timezone.
  2. 2It fetches all Stripe payouts that settled during the prior business day, with gross, fees, and net.
  3. 3In parallel it queries the Snowflake cash and clearing GL accounts for opening balance and posted outflows.
  4. 4A logic step sums the components into a closing position and flags any negative or unusually low balance.
  5. 5The result is formatted as a Slack message with closing cash, net Stripe inflow, and a drill-down link, then posted to the finance channel.
