Deferred Revenue Balance Reconciler with Variance Escalation
On a close-day schedule, totals recognizable Stripe cash against the deferred-revenue schedule balance in Snowflake.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerClose-day schedule
- ActionSum Stripe net charges for the periodStripe
- ActionPull scheduled-recognition balance from SnowflakeSnowflake
- LogicCompute variance; gate on materiality threshold
- OutputEscalate to finance lead or post clean pass in SlackSlack
What it does
Reconciles total Stripe cash collected against the sum of active recognition schedules in Snowflake, then escalates only when the gap created by unmapped charges crosses a materiality threshold.
When to use it
Use it when you care about the aggregate dollar exposure, not just a count of stray charges. It answers the controller's real question: is the unmapped revenue material enough to hold the close. Threshold-based escalation keeps noise out of immaterial periods.
How it works
- 1A schedule fires on the designated close day.
- 2The flow sums Stripe net charges for the period and pulls the total scheduled-recognition balance from Snowflake.
- 3It computes the variance and the implied unmapped-charge dollar amount.
- 4A logic gate compares the variance to a configurable materiality threshold.
- 5If material, it escalates to the finance lead in Slack with the variance, threshold, and top contributing charges; if within tolerance, it posts a clean-pass confirmation to the close channel.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect StripeCustomers, subscriptions, payments.
- 2Connect SnowflakeWarehouses, queries, shares.
- 3Connect SlackChannels, DMs, threads, mentions.
- 4Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 5Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 6Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
