Recompute runway on every Stripe payout
On each Stripe payout settling to your bank, recompute trailing burn and months-of-runway, write the new figures to your Coda runway model, and post a short update to Slack.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

- ActionFetch payout amount + available balanceStripe
- ActionRead prior cash + burn from runway modelCoda
- LogicRecompute net burn and months of runway
- ActionWrite refreshed figures to CodaCoda
- OutputPost runway update to SlackSlack
What it does
Every time Stripe settles a payout to your bank account, this workflow recalculates your cash position and how long it lasts. It pulls the payout amount and current Stripe balance, blends it with your latest cash-on-hand figure, derives trailing net burn, and divides to get months of runway. The new numbers land in your Coda runway model and a one-line summary goes to the finance Slack channel.
When to use it
Use it when payouts are your primary cash inflow and you want runway that moves with reality instead of a stale month-end spreadsheet. Ideal for seed-to-Series-B teams that check runway weekly and want the number to refresh itself the moment money actually lands.
How it works
- 1Stripe emits a `payout.paid` event.
- 2The workflow fetches the settled amount and current available balance from Stripe.
- 3It reads the prior cash balance and trailing burn from the Coda runway model.
- 4Burn and months-of-runway are recomputed from the updated cash position.
- 5The refreshed row is written back to Coda.
- 6A formatted summary (new cash, burn, runway delta) is posted to Slack.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
