What it does

Reads every anonymized exit transcript collected over the last month and synthesizes them into a small set of attrition themes (compensation, manager relationship, growth ceiling, burnout, relocation). Each theme gets a count, representative anonymized quotes, and a month-over-month trend marker.

When to use it

Use it for the recurring People Ops attrition review. Instead of someone hand-reading dozens of transcripts and guessing at patterns, the agent produces a defensible, quote-backed rollup that leadership can act on in minutes.

How it works

  1. 1A monthly schedule triggers on the 1st for the prior calendar month.
  2. 2The agent pulls all anonymized transcripts for that window from the Coda transcript table.
  3. 3It clusters statements into themes, suppressing any theme backed by fewer than three interviews to protect anonymity in small groups.
  4. 4For each surviving theme it selects representative anonymized quotes and computes the change versus the previous month.
  5. 5The ranked rollup, with counts, trends, and quotes, is published to a Coda dashboard doc for the People Ops team.
