HR & RECRUITING
Deep-Work Calendar Guard for Interviewers
Watches for new interview invites that land inside a panelist's protected focus blocks or push them over their daily limit.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerNew interview invite added to calendarGoogle Calendar
- LogicCheck focus-block collision and daily cap
- ActionDecline invite if it violates guardrailsGoogle Calendar
- OutputDM coordinator the reason and open slotsSlack
What it does
It protects engineers' maker time from interview sprawl. The moment a new interview event is added to a panelist's calendar, it checks whether the slot collides with a designated deep-work block or breaks their max-interviews-per-day rule. If it violates either guardrail, the workflow declines the invite, sends the recruiter the panelist's real open windows, and logs the rejection so coordinators learn the constraints.
When to use it
Use it when interviewers keep getting double-booked over focus time and have to manually decline. Best for orgs that already mark "Deep Work" blocks on calendars and want those honored automatically.
How it works
- 1A new Google Calendar interview event triggers the flow.
- 2The event time is checked against the panelist's deep-work blocks and same-day interview count.
- 3A logic step decides: keep, or violation.
- 4On violation, the invite is declined and three genuinely open slots are computed from the calendar.
- 5Slack DMs the recruiting coordinator the decline reason plus the suggested alternative windows.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect Google CalendarEvents, attendees, availability.
- 2Connect SlackChannels, DMs, threads, mentions.
