What it does
This workflow catches internal reqs that have been open too long and gives them a second matchmaking pass. On a recurring schedule it finds reqs past your aging threshold with no internal candidate in motion, then re-scores the whole employee pool — important because people complete courses, finish projects, and gain skills after the req first opened. OpenAI returns any newly-qualifying matches that weren't surfaced the first time, and those fresh candidates get an Outlook nudge with the manager's Loom intro before the role drifts toward an external hire.
When to use it
Use it when reqs quietly age out and default to external recruiting even though an internal fit emerged later. It fits mobility programs where employee skills change frequently and a one-time match at posting isn't enough. Best when skills profiles are kept current in Airtable.
How it works
- 1A schedule trigger fires the aging check (daily or weekly).
- 2The workflow queries Airtable for reqs open beyond the threshold with no active internal candidate.
- 3It re-pulls current employee skills profiles, capturing any gained since the req opened.
- 4A logic step excludes employees already contacted for that req, then OpenAI re-scores the remaining pool and flags new qualifiers.
- 5Newly-matched candidates get an Outlook nudge embedding the manager's Loom intro.
