On-demand RFP answer bot in Slack with source-cited replies
Lets sales reps ask a security question in Slack and get back a policy-grounded answer with linked citations, or a clear 'no approved source' reply when the KB has no coverage.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerRep posts question in Slack channelSlack
- ActionExtract and embed the question
- ActionRetrieve policy sections from Notion KBNotion
- ActionCompose cited answerOpenAI
- LogicGate: require citation per claim
- OutputReply in Slack thread with sourcesSlack
What it does
A rep pastes a buyer's security question into a Slack channel and the bot replies in-thread with a drafted answer plus links to the exact policy sources it used. If no approved source covers the question, it says so explicitly rather than fabricating an answer.
When to use it
Use it during live deal cycles when reps need an instant, defensible answer to a one-off security question and can't wait for the security team. The citation requirement keeps reps from sending unverified claims to prospects.
How it works
- 1A message in the designated Slack channel triggers the workflow.
- 2The question text is extracted and embedded for retrieval.
- 3Relevant policy sections are pulled from the versioned Notion knowledge base.
- 4OpenAI composes an answer strictly from those sections with inline source markers.
- 5A logic gate checks that every claim maps to a citation; uncited drafts are replaced with a 'needs security review' notice.
- 6The bot posts the cited answer back into the Slack thread.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect SlackChannels, DMs, threads, mentions.
- 2Connect NotionPages, databases, comments.
- 3Connect OpenAIModels, embeddings, files.
- 4Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 5Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 6Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
