Page On-Call When a Brand Complaint Goes Viral
Tracks engagement velocity on negative brand mentions and, when a complaint starts spreading fast, pages on-call via PagerDuty and opens a Discord war-room with the live context.

What it does
Not every angry mention is a crisis, but a fast-spreading one is. This workflow measures how quickly a negative mention is gaining likes and reposts, and when velocity crosses a danger line it pages on-call through PagerDuty and spins up a Discord war-room thread seeded with the post and its metrics.
When to use it
When the real risk is a complaint going viral overnight and you need a hard, paging-grade alert reserved for true reputation emergencies, not the routine grumbles your triage channel already handles.
How it works
- 1On a frequent schedule, an Apify actor re-scrapes flagged negative mentions and their current engagement counts.
- 2The flow computes engagement velocity since the last run for each mention.
- 3OpenAI confirms the mention is genuinely critical, filtering out viral-but-positive posts.
- 4A threshold gate fires only when both velocity and severity are high.
- 5A PagerDuty incident is triggered for the reputation on-call rotation.
- 6A Discord war-room thread is opened with the post, metrics, and link so responders coordinate in one place.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect ApifyActors, scrapers, datasets.
- 2Connect OpenAIModels, embeddings, files.
- 3Connect PagerDutyIncidents, on-call, escalations.
- 4Connect DiscordCommunity channels + voice + bots.
- 5Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 6Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 7Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
