How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerDaily schedule triggers lapse check
  • ActionPull register + manager handles from AirtableAirtableAirtable
  • LogicFilter to credentials past expiry still marked active
  • ActionSlack DM the employee's manager with overdue detailsSlack
  • OutputFlag row as escalated with date in AirtableAirtableAirtable

What it does

Finds credentials that are already expired (not just expiring soon) and escalates them straight to the responsible manager in Slack. Each lapse becomes a direct message to the manager naming the employee, the credential, and how many days overdue it is, with a request to confirm a remediation plan.

When to use it

Use this as the enforcement layer behind your reminder workflow: when an employee ignored their renewal nudges and the credential has actually lapsed, the manager needs to know immediately because the person may be working out of compliance. Pair it with the 30/60/90 scheduler so only true failures escalate.

How it works

  1. 1A daily schedule triggers the check.
  2. 2The flow pulls the certification register from Airtable along with each employee's manager Slack handle.
  3. 3A logic step filters to rows where the expiry date is in the past and the credential is still marked active.
  4. 4For each lapse it sends a Slack DM to the employee's manager with the overdue details and an acknowledgement prompt.
  5. 5The Airtable row is flagged as escalated with the escalation date so daily re-runs do not spam the same manager.
