What it does
This workflow monitors open equipment orders against each hire's start date. As shipments update, it keeps the onboarding record current; if an order is still undelivered two days before day one, it raises an escalation so IT can expedite or arrange a loaner.
When to use it
Use it when laptops occasionally arrive late and the first warning is the new hire sitting at an empty desk. It turns a silent risk into a tracked status with a hard deadline check.
How it works
- 1**Trigger** — A daily schedule reviews all equipment orders with a status of Ordered or In Transit.
- 2**Action** — Pull the latest delivery status for each order from the procurement board record.
- 3**Logic** — Compare delivery status against start date; flag any order not Delivered within two days of the start.
- 4**Action** — Post an escalation in the IT Teams channel listing the at-risk hire, order, and days remaining.
- 5**Output** — Update the onboarding record with delivery status and an At Risk flag where applicable.
