What it does

Handles the physical and logistical tail of offboarding. On the employee's last day it builds a return checklist from the assets assigned to them, files an IT ticket to track recovery of laptops and badges, and sends the departing person clear instructions and a return deadline.

When to use it

Use it when offboarding involves company hardware, building access cards, or other physical assets that need to come back. It runs automatically on the dated last day so IT isn't reconstructing who has what after the person is gone.

How it works

  1. 1A schedule checks daily for employees whose last day is today.
  2. 2For each match, it reads the list of assets assigned to that employee in Airtable.
  3. 3A logic step builds the itemized return checklist.
  4. 4It opens an asset-recall ticket in Asana for the IT team with the item list.
  5. 5It emails the departing employee return instructions, drop-off location, and deadline via Outlook.
  6. 6It marks the asset-recall step complete on the employee's offboarding record.
