What it does
Handles the physical-equipment side of onboarding end to end: picks the right hardware bundle for the role, places the order through your procurement endpoint, tracks it in Airtable, and tells the new hire when their gear is on the way.
When to use it
Use it when remote or distributed hires need laptops and peripherals shipped before day one, and you want a single record of what was ordered, where it shipped, and whether it arrived.
How it works
- 1A webhook fires when a hire's start date and shipping address are confirmed.
- 2A logic step selects the hardware bundle by role and seniority.
- 3The order is placed via your procurement HTTP endpoint, and an Airtable row is created capturing items, address, and status.
- 4When the procurement system posts back a tracking number, the Airtable row is updated to shipped.
- 5A welcome email goes to the new hire with the item list and tracking link, so they know exactly what is arriving and when.
