What it does
Watches for new hires whose 90-day probation deadline is approaching without a recorded final decision. Because a missed deadline can default an employee into permanent status, it escalates loudly: it warns the manager early, then alerts HR if the deadline gets close with still no decision.
When to use it
Use it when missing a probation decision deadline carries legal or contractual consequences and you need a hard backstop that forces the pass/fail/extend call before the window closes.
How it works
