How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerScheduled run every Monday morning
  • ActionPull pending requests and upcoming approved PTOAirtableAirtable
  • LogicGroup by manager, flag SLA-breached requests
  • ActionEmail each manager their personalized digestGmailGmail
  • OutputPost overdue roll-up to HR Slack channelSlack

What it does

Keeps PTO approvals from going stale. On a schedule it gathers every unresolved request, sorts them by how long they've waited, and sends each manager only their own pending items — highlighting any that have breached the response SLA — alongside a forward-looking view of who's already approved off.

When to use it

Use it when requests pile up unanswered and employees can't plan. A weekly nudge with aging context drives managers to clear their queue and surfaces upcoming coverage thinness before it bites.

How it works

  1. 1A scheduled trigger fires every Monday morning.
  2. 2The flow pulls all pending PTO requests and the next four weeks of approved time off from Airtable.
  3. 3A logic step groups requests by manager and tags any older than the SLA as overdue.
  4. 4It builds a per-manager summary and the team coverage outlook for the period.
  5. 5Each manager receives their tailored digest by email; a roll-up of overdue items is posted to the HR Slack channel.
