MARKETING
Flag HubSpot email UTM offenders to the sender via Slack DM
When a HubSpot marketing email is sent, checks its tracking UTMs against the taxonomy and, if they violate the rules, opens a Linear correction task and DMs the email's owner…
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerHubSpot marketing email sentHubSpot
- LogicExtract owner and parse UTMs from links
- LogicBranch: only continue on taxonomy violations
- ActionOpen a Linear correction taskLinear
- OutputDM the email owner in SlackSlack
What it does
This workflow watches for outgoing HubSpot marketing emails, inspects the UTM parameters on their links, and when something breaks the taxonomy it both files a Linear task for the fix and sends a direct, specific Slack message to the person who owns that email. The marketer hears about their own mistake instead of an anonymous channel firehose.
When to use it
Use it when email is a major channel and you want accountability routed to the individual owner — closing the loop with a tracked task rather than a passive report nobody actions.
How it works
- 1A HubSpot trigger fires when a marketing email is sent.
- 2A logic step extracts the email owner and parses UTMs from the tracked links.
- 3A branch checks the values against the taxonomy and proceeds only on violations.
- 4A Linear action opens a correction task describing the exact rule broken.
- 5A Slack action DMs the email owner with the violation and a link to the task.
