What it does

Processes badge photos in batches from a shared Drive folder, turning a day's worth of booth scans into clean, deduplicated Airtable lead records — each with the original photo linked for audit.

When to use it

Use this when reps dump badge photos into a shared Drive folder throughout the day rather than scanning live, and your single source of truth for leads is an Airtable base. Ideal for multi-rep booths where the same prospect may get photographed twice.

How it works

  1. 1A new image file appearing in the watched Drive folder triggers the run.
  2. 2The image content is read and passed to a vision OCR step that extracts name, company, title, email, and phone.
  3. 3A dedupe logic step searches the Airtable base by email and company to decide insert vs. merge.
  4. 4New contacts are appended as Airtable records; matches update the existing row's last-seen date and scan count.
  5. 5The source badge photo is attached to the record for verification.
