Sync Abandoned Carts to a HubSpot Retargeting Audience
On cart abandonment, tags the contact in HubSpot and pushes them into a retargeting ad audience so paid channels can chase the open cart.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

- ActionUpsert HubSpot contact with cart value and abandoned_atHubSpot
- LogicFilter out recent customers
- ActionAdd contact to retargeting audience on ad platformsSocial publishing
- OutputLog abandonment note to HubSpot timelineHubSpot
What it does
This workflow turns an abandoned Stripe checkout into a paid-media signal. It updates the matching HubSpot contact with cart details and an abandonment timestamp, then enrolls them into a retargeting audience pushed to your ad platforms so they see the product again while intent is fresh.
When to use it
Use it when email alone is not enough and you want abandoned-cart shoppers chased across social and display ads. Ideal for higher-ticket products where a single touch rarely closes the sale.
How it works
- 1A Stripe `checkout.session.expired` webhook delivers the abandoned session.
- 2The flow upserts the contact in HubSpot, writing cart value, top product, and an `abandoned_at` property.
- 3A filter checks the contact is not already a recent customer to avoid wasting ad spend on people who bought elsewhere.
- 4Post-to-platforms adds the contact to the retargeting custom audience across the connected ad channels.
- 5The final step writes a note back to the HubSpot timeline so sales sees the abandonment and the retargeting enrollment.
